Metallic Nanostructures



Metallic nanostructures have proved to be quite interesting in terms of their selectively tuned properties. New designs and synthetic techniques are devised to improve the physical properties of these materials. The directed assembly of these nano-platforms generates a myriad of functional assemblies for:
A- Sensing
The distinctive fluorescence of metallic nanostructures is employed in sensing different motifs by proper surface functionalization.
B- Imaging
SERS is a powerful technique that can be used for real-time imaging especially to probe different processes in live cells.
